Oh No I Have a Cold! AIIIEEEE!

I’ve got a cold. Whoopie for me! Why is it that people make a big deal about colds? Sure, I can understand it if we all died when we got one but come on people; it’s not fatal. Yeesh. I have a cold, wow. My nose is runny, I have a stuffed head and my voice has changed a bit too. Cool! So you know what I’m going to do?

Run to the hospital?
Beg for a flu shot?
Pretend having a cold means something bad?

This is what I’m going to do. I’ll take some aspirin, cough medicine and at night those cool green Nyquil tablets. Woo-hoo! And I’ll be seeing you all again on the next blog entry. Until then, no well wishes, no get betters, no you poor poor sod; I have a cold, that’s all. *achoo* Ta-ta…

PS. People have tried to get me sick for weeks now, so yay for them.

Sorry to hear that your friends are evil doers and gave you the common cold. If I were you I would forget the medicine and feast on good ol chicken soup. =)

Darci, Shame on you, giving Vinnie the cold. I had a bout of the flu and believe me it was not fun. Besides I didn't think Las Vegas got that cold at night, maybe I'm wrong. Vinnie, as soon as you are healed up enough from this cold, give it back to the people who gave it to you. Or at least sneeze on their gifts this year. hehe. :)

Ha, I feel even less head-stuffy than I did yesterday, Darci. I doubt this is anything but a wittle cold, so sorry. I also have been feeling much better playing "Hallway Bowling" using an office chair and a stack of obsolete SCSI drives...

Drink lots and lots of alcohol. If you do that, you wouldn't even care if you had SARS. :)

Oh yeah, it's my fault. It it out of the realm of possibilty that just MAYBE, he caught it from handling all the products at CES that had been touched by a million people before him. It's not like CES is a large gathering of people from all over the world, that might be carrying mutated germs from far corners of the earth. Or maybe it wasn't the foreigners at all, but MINNIETAUR with her dreaded plague. No-o-o-o-o, it had to be me!
January 18, 2004 @ 09:36AM
Uhm, it had to be some strain of SARS from a chinese engineer that coughed the virus all over the cool revolutionary clock that a company employee rushed to tell me not to take a pic of. He wasn't really trying to tell me not to take a picture of such an innovative clock (it had numbers 1-12 on it and told time clockwise) at a trade show; he wanted to lower my risk of getting SARS. My immune system allows me to be a carrier for diseases, whilst usually not contracting the disease itself. Otherwise, if my immune system is lowered due to the cold weather or prolonged and repeated exposure to you sickies, I may get a reduced weaker version of said disease/cold. I know I didn't get the cold from you or Minnietaur. Although Minnie's diseases are super-strong and resilient, they are nevertheless girlie germs and thus I am unaffected. Your germs on the other hand are weak, whiney and lethargic (in addition to being girlie) thus there is no chance of sickening such a vibrant, robust and ultra-manly specimen such as myself. Dream on, girley. Boo-ya! *flexes biceps* Me da man. *grunt*

Kevin had it, too. Should I tell him you said he has girlie germs, also?

Must be the air, I caught a terrible flu week before last. Oh wait, wasn't that the same time as CES? Even though I wasn't there, I got sick. Vinnie, don't even try to argue with Darci, she would beat you every time....
January 18, 2004 @ 11:42AM
The only reason Kevin might have caught your germs is his resistance was down due to constant nagging :-) (You can tell him I said that) Hehe...

Please refer to the differences between men and women post I shared. 5. ARGUMENTS A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument. Then, weigh your next words carefully. :)

Vinny said: Until then, no well wishes, no get betters, no you poor poor sod; I have a cold, that's all. *achoo* Ta-ta... Okay, Vinny. Congratulations on getting sick! You rock! Enjoy your bed rest, and drink lots of liquids. I hope it hangs on so you can extend your bed rest as long as possible. ;)

Hey Vinnie, get the Dayquil pills along with the Nyquil and you can play the scene from the Matrix. Seriously tho, Im sorry to hear you are sick. But you are doing better than I. Tommorrow I will be in the 17th Century. We are expecting a major ice storm and when that happens goodbye power. Oh well, if Lincoln can read by candlelight so can I.
January 25, 2004 @ 11:38PM
Whoa, cool advice for all the Matrix lovers out there! Hope you make it through the cold weather OK! I'm pretty much over my cold, feeling way better thanks!
