I believe in miracles, people and tracking numbers. I believe these things so strongly I’m going to actually risk being offline again.
See, a good friend sent me a wonderfully new motherboard that I’ve been dying to put together for MONTHS. It uses my processor, all my cards will work with it and it takes blazingly fast DDR Ram. Only problem is, I don’t have DDR Ram. So what to do? Hey, I know - get some! All it takes are good friends and faith. I have both so it should be easy.
I’ve been told the RAM’s coming and you know what? I believe it. I believe it so strongly that by next Monday (Apr. 12th) I will be taking apart my computer ready to install everything whether the memory arrives or not. I’ve got a new faster hard drive, I’m upgrading to Windows XP Pro and with the new mobo and the at least 1gig of PC-3200 I heard that’s on it’s way I think I’m going to be a happy happy boy.
Now what happens if the RAM doesn’t show up by Monday? Well, you see, I believe it will. If someone said so I believe it. I’ve been holding putting this computer together for so long and I’ve heard so many good things about the supplier I just know deep in my heart it’ll be here before the 12th. So sure, that even though this is my only computer I’m going to wait until next Monday and rip the sucker apart and install everything whether the RAM gets here or not. Because I believe! I wonder how many of the 3 slots will have RAM in it? I heard at least a gig’s coming; and it takes up to 3gigs, man I’m so freaking excited! I feel like, well, uh… excited! I can’t wait much longer to put it all together and I wont, darnit!
Now what happens if the RAM doesn’t come? First, I don’t believe that for a second. No way! Just in case though I tapped a friend to make sure there will be daily updates here on the status of my pulled-apart system, my trips to the mailbox and the strength of my faith. This might be interesting but I really don’t think I have anything to worry about, the RAM will show! I just know it! I believe! But just in case I’m a moron, there will still be updates while I’m offline anyway.
Do you believe? I do. In miracles, people and the guy that delivers the mail. WOO! Stay tuned folks, this might be either a fun or tragic ride…
