Vinnie takes medication? Hmm, wondering why him and Minnetaur had so much in common. :) Now as for that job thing, it's real. Check Darci Wood's blog, she mentions it in her comments I think. :D Vinnie, you owe me now.
April 3, 2005 @ 07:12PM
Minnie and I do not take medication yet we're both very able to laugh at all you normal people. You're so weird...

Laugh while you may Vinnie, and don't forget, Nerds rule the world. Who else could hook up an ethernet cable, run a diagnostic, and have everything in the LAN running within an hour. Oh, and I was just kidding Vinnie about the medication. :)

Vinnie,

Get some bug spray for the spiders. Or a really good flyswatter. No need for the little buggers to bite you and give you big red welts. Now as for those pink giraffes, you are on your own.
:)

Hey, no one touches Prescott the Pink Giraffe on my watch...

Vinnie,

Good news, gonna get a satellite internet system this week or next. It uses dialup for upload(35-40kbps for dailup upload) but satellite for download (400kbps on satellite downloads)so I will be able to get on and off fast. The satellite modem is an internal pci card for a desktop, a usb satellite modem for a laptop. I'm so happy, hope it works right.

Wish my luck, I know, it may not work right, but at least I will be able to network this satellite internet with a router. :D

Sounds cool Shannon; they don't have cable or dsl in your area eh?

No cable here. Mediacom's excuse, "You are 1000 feet from the road", and that's following the electric lines/poles. As for DSL, it may hit the area by 2007, it comes from Bellsouth. So I opt for Satellite Internet. So what if it isn't always on, but at least I can control this like dialup. :)
April 6, 2005 @ 06:52PM
You'll love it, I'm sure!

Only real problem with satellite is it;s lousy for online games and uploading images

Gweeptish,

It's all I can get, one-way satellite is the only cheap thing to me. Sorry, but DSL won't be here for 3 years and the cable company refuses to run a cable down my road. The theme is, DSL wouldn't make enough money for a line out to my neck of the woods. The cable company is just being stupid.
April 7, 2005 @ 07:05PM
Hey, me still on dialup. Right now it's kind of hard to go to broadband when most of my time is at work and we have it there. Not on the "high to do list" right now for me.
April 7, 2005 @ 08:52PM
Hey Shannon, Great news for you. Down here in Bells South terroritory, you can only count on one thing.....dead silence on their equipment. We Moved on 11/5/03 and had land line service installation scheduled for 11/6/03.....they finally installed us on 12/19/03. It then took them till July of 2004 to straighten out which line had which options, then till december of 2004 to properly itemize each line with it's correct pricing for the entire time.
