Still WALKing: a PCT Documentary

Still Walking Documentary by Scott HerriottA few years ago, the esteemed Scott Herriott did a documentary about the Pacific Coast Trail. Well now peeps, I’m proud to announce that Scott is back again with a sort of followup documentary on the PCT, called Still Walking!

The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is a 2,650-mile national scenic trail that runs from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington. Many attempt the PCT, but few make it all the way. The average journey takes about 6 months and is not for the weak of heart.

This time around Scott “Squatch” Herriott hikes a longer section of the PCT, catches up with a few of the hikers he filmed in Walk and shows you what some of the people he met in his earlier documentary are doing now. If you like nature, the Great Outdoors, triumphs of the human spirit and Scott’s distinctive style of documentaries then you’ll love his fifth and latest work, so go get yourself a shiny new copy of Still Walking today.

I just saw it last night and loved to see this 2nd take on the PCT and seeing what the hikers I saw in Walk are up to. You really feel a connection to the people Scott puts on camera and it was good to see “old friends” again. Nice job! Head on over to www.walkpct.com and take a look, peeps…

Maybe Scott will finally film the elusive "Squatch" in his journey along the PCT Vinnie. :D Either he gets a pic of "Squatch", or Donna Summers in the wild (her disco career is over. Scott has to get something etheral on film this time)

Scott and a friend actually took footage which appeared on the TV show "Sightings" of what they thought to be a creature that may have been Sasquatch himself. The footage is in his DVD documentary about Bigfoot called Squatching.

I am not your average product pimpsta daddy, if I like something I say it. I've been enjoying Scott's documentaries ever since he's been making them.

However, with that said if someone does send me Claudia Schiffer and that pony I PROMISE I'll be impartial during testing...

Vinnie,

I'm beta-testing IE 7 on my desktop. Let's hope it doesn't destroy my desktop. I had all of the windows updates in here before I put in IE 7 beta in the desktop. :D Now you got me into the idea to build my first windows Vista pc this year (will have to save for this project, will email you about it when I begin the project).

Be careful about IE7 as it is unstable. I do suggest another browser which is more of an add-on of Explorer that apparently is a relatively new up n comer, called Maxthon. It's getting rave reviews all over the place...

Thanks Vinnie. I'm thinking of reinstalling Windows XP Home Upgrade in my desktop (It's the 6 month reinstall time)this weekend. Maybe that will allay my worries about IE7 Beta 2. Oh, my new Windows XP Pro/Vista Update (That's the Vista that is done by this fall/winter for installation in newer pcs, not the Vista Beta) system that I will be building may not begin until June or July 2006. Yes I'm gonna get an OEM Version of Windows XP Pro to go with this system. BTW, this system will be my first UUGM and the parts will come from *ahem* Tiger Direct. *ducks as Minnietaur, Special K and gweeptish throw old motherboards at me*

Tiger Direct and Monarch plus a trip to Fry's made my UUGM so hey you're in good company there, dude!

Thanks Vinnie. I don't know what I'd do without Tigerdirect.com :D

You're welcome. Just like anything research whatever you buy. One time TD was selling an AMD 64 and mobo combo that wouldn't work together unless you waited for a BIOS upgrade from the mobo maker. Whcih was bizarre but sometimes things like that could happen. Also the rebates always watch the clauses as some are geared to the stupid consumer to instantly void the rebate.
