Into the Blogosphere: Day 3

Like my fellow *cough*hated*cough* daily blogospherians I occasionally have to solicit a response from my readers to generate a spike of activity to help me come to a crucially important-to-everyone decision of much weight that I have already decided on:

Which series should I watch from beginning to end, first: Star Trek: The Next Generation or Voyager?

And why. wants to know.

Well Vinnie,

Depends on what you want to get out of it. If you want the sequential seriesm, then you and banana should watch TNG. Just for Star Trek goodness but without the series sequentialness, then watch star trek voyager. Me, I like Star Trek: TOS. But that's just me. Go

I vote for galactica

Gweep: the choices were STTNG and Voyager. You only get 50/100 on your test score.
Shannon: thankies; good ideas!
blue: oops you got 0/100. Tsk tsk... (and even less since you did not specify on which galactica (The original, Galactica 1980 or the current Galactica) Negative points for you...

Enterprise is better than Voyager. Just a recommendation

Nothing can cause sparks to fly than Trekkers debating on which show is better. Although I vastly enjoyed Enterprise, this was the show where they tossed out Star Trek history altogether and told fans all they knew was a lie, without even a lame "this is an alternate reality timeline" excuse. There was no previous NX class Enterprise prior to the NCC1701 (strangely the NX fake predecessor looked way more technologically advanced than the later Enterprise), there was no previous Vulcan/Captain mix prior to the Kirk Enterprise, humanity did not meet the Borg prior to Encounter at Farpoint in STTNG, etc - and that's the short list.

Had they not shoved out the airlock all Star Trek history and had way better writing sooner than later it would have been a success. I truly enjoyed the show while trying to ignore the sacrilege and nothing in my opinion beats the earth attacked let's save humanity story arch. But I loathe how badly they rehashed older episodes of the other series and totally trashed known history.

Still I give Enterprise 2 out of 5 's

Metaphorically speaking you mean right if not I'm watching the wrong shows!

Oh dear >:XX! That was a good one Chris! 2 :banana:'s for you.

I actually think Scott Bakula did a great job as Captain in the alternate timeline show (as I prefer to think of Enterprise)
