A lot of people that care to ask are quickly apprised of my loathing for Reality Shows, aka reality television. You know, total garbage like Real World, Survivor and TV news in general. Well, the Universe as others know is pretty quick to alter itself to my wants and needs because somewhere, sometime I was nice to it and like a happy puppy it’s eager to please me (except for Scott Baio’s continued presence on the boob tube.)

So before too long I found myself watching shows like Top Chef (Season 2), Deadliest Catch and American Chopper. Shows that miraculously came into existence straight from the Universe to my TV set. To fill the Universe’s need to make me happy. Sure, there was all the good sci-fi and other great shows like Buffy, Angel, SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis and Galactica that every true geek watches, but it’s nice to know how the other half lives. Except with quality reality programming instead of the insipid schlock a lot of you yutzes out there are used to staring at.
