Ah, the great Carl Kolchak from the cult classic, Kolchak: The Night Stalker. The fabulous series that no doubt inspired Chris Carter to create his lesser-known show - The Xfiles.
Unfortunately, despite being stumbling-upon clever, Jeffrey Grant Rice would have been grotesquely killed before the opening credits if he were ever in a show that featured an Alien...
Speaking of Kolchak, he almost died under an alien that visited earth in a flying saucer, and took lead for fuel. remember that episode? It was only the sound that his flash made that drove the creature away.
Not the first episode in which his camera was a key in saving the day, but even though the creature was made of energy yet ate, digested and secreted stuff; the great thing about Kolchak was you didn't mind any holes in the plot. In fact, they made the series more campy and enjoyable, IMO.
Happy Easter? Hmm, thought Easter used to be a pagan holiday. Shows what I know. Oh, and by the way, those aliens would have to be able to see the predator if either one of them faced off in a hunt. With Ripley being recruited by the Predators to hunt the alien bleeps.
Universal HD is a tv station on my satellite tv that shows the highest HD detail that is possible. I've also got some BSG extras stuff that will be on Universal HDTV. Besides I don't have a Blu-Ray recorder, those things are expensive. Whew, makes my wallet burn.
Good then! I do feel sorry for early adopters of HD DVD technology who couldn't wait until one format won the format war. And now there's a chance that Blu-ray recorders might actually go up now that there is no competitor, or at the least wind up leveling off at a higher price overall.
Found out that BSG will be on SCI-FI one week earlier than on Universal HDTV. So sad, but not to worry, at least I will have the final season ready to record on dvd soon. Now if other shows would take their cue from BSG we would have less tripe on cable tv.
Unfortunately the makers of the tripe make all decisions on the tripe therefore there will always be tripe.
On a great note, the Invisible Man just came out on DVD. A MUST see for any sci-fi fan and yet another great show cancelled by NBC/Sci-Fi like Farscape, Stargate SG-1 and Surface).
Vinnie don't forget their lame ending to Sliders. That went to Sci-Fi channel and ended up being slag.
Well at BSG was a good show on NBC/Sci-Fi that didn't go south in the third and fourth season (I hope).
