Find That Mailbox!

Find that MailboxIf you’re like me there are a lot of times you want to send a letter or package out and forget what the collection times are for the post office or where the nearest US Postal Service drop box is. Many a time, especially after moving recently, I kept confusing the collection times between the small post office near me and the one if town and what I dropped off didn’t get sent out until the next day. Which is especially freakin’ annoying if you’re a Netflix member like me.

Get the timing wrong and your new DVDs won’t be shipped out tomorrow. Or Johnny doesn’t get his birthday present in time unless you cough up a lot of extra dough. Sure, Johnny is a bit whiny and it’s high time he realized the world is a cruel and merciless place, but you try to explain reality to a 7-year old. Or get his parents to stop nagging you about caring that he’s your nephew when you had no say in the matter and would rather be Uncle to a dog because at least you can please a freaking dog…

Anyhow, I used to wish there was something that could help me with those pesky collection times and drop-off box location dilemmas and after some searching I’m happy to announce there is.

Introducing the Mailbox Locator website. Just head on over, enter your 5 digit zip code and you’ll get a list of all the post offices and mailbox drop-off locations near you, including the collection times in an easy to read format. It worked beautifully when I’ve used it and saved me some postage as well as helped me speed up my Netflix DVD turnaround times. Give Mailbox Locator a try and get that whiny little Johnny to shut the kelp up…
