As a Mac user for years I would welcome Chainsaw Panda taking over the reigns. The I'm a PC Mac ads were always annoying to anyone with a brain because practically none of what they say is true. If we are supposed to be the elite class of computer users why do we need training wheels to use a machine? It says we're less smart.

99% of businesses use PCs. If you're a computer person in the computer industry and you don't know PCs you're unemployed. Not that elite to be without a job.

I use a Mac because I love the look and feel of my machine but I don't buy anything that they make because they make it. The iPad sucks. The Macbook Air sucks. Those stupid commercials suck. Not a fanboy just like anyone else, I want the rounded car with the cool spoiler every once in a while with the automatic transmission. Later, when there is no good one I'll grab a Mustang and power down the road with you guys after I learn to drive stick.

I think the biggest failure of those ads is they make their user base look like idiots. If you can't handle what everyone else uses, use Mac.

For me a lot of the commercials basically say "Is it too hard for you - use a Mac." I know plenty of people that have used Apple and they're not happy being compared to simpletons as that campaign suggests. There are plenty of smart people out there, most use PCs, some use Macs. That's not a weird bias, that's the numbers of users worldwide.
